Was ist All-Time Low (ATL)? Einsteiger

All-time low, usually shortened to ATL, is the lowest price an asset has ever traded at according to whichever data source you are reading. It is a historical record and nothing more. An ATL tells you where a market has been; it makes no claim about where it is going, and it is not by itself a reason to buy anything.

The number is more slippery than it looks, because it depends entirely on the source. An aggregator can only report what it tracks, so the figure shifts with which exchanges and trading pairs are included, when tracking began, and whether the price is denominated in a national currency or in another crypto asset. Brief spikes on thin order books may or may not be counted. Two reputable sites can show different all-time lows for the same coin, and neither is lying — check what a figure on the markets page is actually measuring before you lean on it.

The bigger trap is treating a low price as a cheap price. Price is only half a fraction; the other half is how many units exist. A coin can set a new low while its circulating supply keeps expanding, which means the share of the network you would own is shrinking at the same time. A large percentage drop from an old high is a measure of how far something has fallen, not of what it is worth.

It is also worth saying plainly that prices sometimes fall for good reasons. A product that never shipped, a team that walked away, a scheduled unlock of tokens, a broken assumption — markets do not owe anyone a recovery, and a great many assets that set new lows simply carried on from there. An all-time low is only "all-time" until the next one.

Where the figure is genuinely useful is context: it shows how wide the historical range has been and how deep drawdowns can run, which is sobering information for anyone new. Treat it as one input among many, never as a floor or a signal. Nothing here is a recommendation; see our disclaimer.

Das Wichtigste in Kürze

 • An all-time low is a record of the past and carries no information about what happens next.
 • The figure depends on which exchanges, pairs and reference currency the data source uses, so it varies between sites.
 • A falling price alongside a growing supply means the slice of the network you would own is shrinking as well.

All-Time Low (ATL) — häufig gestellte Fragen

Does hitting an all-time low mean a coin is a bargain?

No. A low price only tells you what people have been willing to pay, not what something is worth. Assets fall for reasons, and those reasons often persist. Judging value means looking at what the project does, whether it is funded, how many tokens exist and how many are still to be released. The price history alone answers none of that, and this is not investment advice.

Why do two websites show different all-time lows for the same coin?

Because they are measuring different things. Each tracker covers its own set of exchanges and trading pairs, started collecting data at a different moment, and may filter out illiquid outliers or brief wicks. A price quoted against a national currency will also differ from one quoted against another crypto asset. When the number matters to you, read the source's methodology rather than assuming a single true figure exists.
