There are a lot of cameras out there that are just as good, if not better, than the one Mariah Parham used in the new trailer. If you dont have the budget, there are a handful of options that can rival the camera she used in the trailer.

I was surprised to learn that Mariah has actually been on Blackreef before in the game. In the game, Mariah lives with her father and is pretty much the only one who lives there, and the only one who knows Blackreef. Her father is a visionary who has lived on the island since before the island was created. Unfortunately, he is a bit of an asshole and has kept her father distracted and out of her life for years.
While Mariah didn’t mention Blackreef to me, she did mention she’s spent the past 20 years on the island with her father. She doesn’t seem to have any memory of Blackreef, and as she goes on, she doesn’t seem to age anywhere near as fast as her father. One of the reasons they’d been on the island before is because she once worked for Blackreef as a janitor, but that doesn’t seem to be the same.
With so much information being thrown at us about Blackreef, it is more than likely that Mariah has a bit of confusion about why she is on the island. As it turns out she has spent most of her 20 years on the island with her father, and only about a sixth of that time has been spent with him. While she doesnt seem to remember Blackreef, she DOES have a bit of memory of him.
While the developers have yet to reveal exactly what Mariah is going through, there have been some hints. She is shown to have an alter-ego that seems to be a combination of her father and the Visionaries. She has learned the art of time-looping and has a very interesting history of her own. She seems to have inherited the ability to change her father’s memory but has the ability to change herself.
