I’m a big fan of watches. I know there are numerous types of watches, but the ones I’m talking about here are definitely my favorite. I had the opportunity to take a tour of the Paris collection (the entire collection) at the Paris catwalk in New York City. This was my first time doing this so the tour was a little different than a typical trip to Paris.
As a tourist I was amazed at the fact that the collection was in the middle of a major city. The only way to get to the top was by using the metro and walking in a circle. The rest of the collection was in Paris, which is an entire trip. From top to bottom the pieces are so beautiful that seeing them in person at the museum was a moment of pure awe.
I think what this exhibit is really about is that the French are really good at taking themselves a little too seriously. It’s something I’ve noticed in other collections I’ve been to, and I’m sure it’s something that’s true of everyone who visits Paris. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, but it’s a bit weird to see that kind of self-seriousness on display in a collection.

The French love their museums. They are as much about their culture, art, and history as they are about history and art, and they are as self-conscious about them as they are about their own culture and art.
