Now, we’re in a recession that has been going on for several years now, and we’re still not seeing a major recovery.
We do still have a lot of manufacturing jobs, but now we don’t have the skills to produce the goods that we consume. Our manufacturing jobs mostly involve machinery we use to manufacture things like shoes, toothpicks, and other kitchen utensils. We can’t produce the goods that we need to consume if we don’t have the skill to do the manufacturing.
