Head is probably one of the most overlooked parts of our life because it is usually thought of as one of our few “core” things, the most important thing in our life. And to be honest, if you look at the average person’s life, they’re usually busy doing everything else in their life. Or at least that’s how I see it. But for most of us, the head is the most important thing in our lives.
eren is our protagonist. The main character of the game. He’s an amnesiac who wakes up on a beach with no memory of why he is on Deathloop. He’s also not sure what the hell he is. No one is more surprised than we are when he stumbles upon a party called the Visionaries. There’s a party going on, but no one is really there.
When we first play eren head we can only assume that it was a party just to kill the Visionaries. But that doesn’t help us decide what we should do. We have no clue what we’re doing, so we need someone to tell us. The only person that we are sure is going to understand is our main character, eren. And we have no clue how we are going to play Deathloop, so we need someone to play it for us.
eren seems to have no memory of what happened to him in his past. So he is forced to get on Deathloop to find out who he really is, but the game seems to be all about him going about his business. A lot of the game’s dialogue and cutscenes show us eren in his future, trying to find a way to get the team to kill all the Visionaries.
And he’s only human, of course. The game seems to be focusing on his mental state rather than his personality. Which is a good thing because it means we get to see his future and have some fun with it.
One aspect of Deathloop that I like is that you can always take a break and watch some movies on the game’s menu. It’s a great way to disconnect from the game, and it’s particularly good to do when you’re on your deathbed.
So eren’s got a little bit of a future in Deathloop, but not in real life. He may not be able to kill the Visionaries directly, but he can definitely be a pain in the ass to them. Especially when he gets pissed off at them for causing his head to be the size of a baseball.
