I have been living in Arizona since July of last year. I moved to Tucson with my husband and our two young sons. We were both working at the time and found ourselves in an emergency room, and I was told I had a concussion, and that she needed to take me to a hospital. I had never been to an ER before, and I was not sure what to expect. We were advised to go to the urgent care, which I did.
The emergency room staff took very good care of me, and I knew that I’d be fine before I got there. I was told that if I had any concerns, they should be brought to me. The doctor had a lot of interesting stories about my past medical history, and I was given plenty of information regarding my medical history in general.
One of the things I was told was that I was allergic to a med called levaquin. I asked if it was OK to take it through the emergency room. They said that it was.
I was told that they were really good that they took the med into consideration when making the decision. That this was the standard for emergency rooms, even in hospitals. That it was a really good thing that they had this knowledge.
The best news is that you can take it to any doctor you want. They just need to get you a prescription first.

The days just keep getting better for the Emergency Room. Last week I had my first appointment, and this week I have my second. It is the best thing about the Emergency Room: you get to see a real doctor who is not a doctor or nurse you have seen before. It is also the best thing about the Emergency Room: you get to see a doctor who actually cares about you. That is a huge deal.
