This is the same reason you don’t do it all in your head when you buy those really expensive coffees. It’s because once you do it all in your head, it’s hard to do it again. One of these days you will be able to go to the grocery store and buy your own coffee and drink it and then buy it again. You will have seen one of these coffee stands.
I believe this is a big enough reason that we can all agree that it is worth spending a little extra money on. It may not be the reason that a lot of people pay for something, but it is another reason why you should. Just look at how everyone in Japan uses plastic bottles to pour coffee into, as opposed to how Japanese people often use plastic tea cups for cups of tea.
I’m sure most people would never have thought to buy a cup of tea in the past because it’s so expensive. But we will be happy to put something to use.
I think it is great that you all are willing to spend a little extra to celebrate the day. And the fact that you’re willing to spend a little extra to celebrate the day is just a testament to the kindness of Japan’s people. I know it is a bit of a stretch for us to compare the Japanese with the Americans, but we need to remind ourselves that every country has their own culture. The Japanese people may not have the same sense of self-awareness that the Americans have.
So far the Japanese are the most progressive country in the world when it comes to social and personal freedom. Many people would say that the Japanese have it better than the Americans. For example, in the past one year the Japanese government has become more concerned with the privacy of its population.
It’s true that in Japan the people are more accepting and tolerant of other people’s viewpoints. But that doesn’t mean that Japanese aren’t always the most ignorant country in the world. In Japan it’s accepted that women are only allowed to wear the pants. If you make a joke about a Japanese woman’s legs being on display, it’s considered very rude.
The real problem with Japan is that for two decades or so, the government has been trying to control the population through birth control. The result is that today more than half of the population is under the age of 15. Now, this is good for Japan, but it makes it a lot harder to move to other countries.
The Japan government has been pushing birth control through a variety of means for the past three decades. Some of these have proven problematic, but the most serious ones have been the use of a highly contagious “stork virus.” The problem is that if a woman is pregnant, she cannot get an abortion because the gestational age is too late. But if she is born in Japan and has a stork virus, she can get an abortion because the gestational age is over the age of consent.
