I am so used to being so ill that the thought of not getting to the hospital or doctor’s office or pharmacy is unthinkable. However, on rare occasion, you do need to go to the emergency room or to a doctor, and this is the only way to know that everything will be okay.
The same goes for urgent care. If you have a fever, you need to go to the emergency room or to the doctor because you need to have your temperature checked or a fever taken away. If you have a headache, you need to see the doctor immediately because a headache is a head ache. If something is seriously wrong, you need to see the doctor.
In the same way that you need to go to the emergency room or to the doctor, it is also the case that you need to go to the urgent care because your doctor will tell you that your problem is serious and that you should see the doctor immediately. The emergency room or doctor is the last place you should go to. If you are sick enough to need urgent care, the last place to go is to the emergency room or the doctor.
The problem with urgent care is that it’s only about half full. A lot of people who go to the emergency room when they have a serious illness or a condition that is so serious that they need immediate hospital care don’t even make it to the ER. One in four of those patients ends up dying from their serious condition. This is because the emergency room has to fill up in order to accommodate all those patients who need to be seen by the doctors.
Some states require that all health care patients be evaluated by a medical doctor, but that has a major downside. The emergency room is not a place where you can get the doctor who actually has the time for a busy patient. So while you may be able to get a doctor to review your medical history, you probably wont actually see them as you are going through the process of making a decision about your treatment.
This is actually a big problem because many health care providers are not open to treating patients that are not sick. To be fair, many patients who are in urgent need of medical treatment are actually experiencing serious medical emergencies that need to be addressed quickly. But to get them out into the regular waiting rooms, they have to wait to see a doctor until the very last minute. It is only after the last minute when the treating doctor can actually make a decision.
There are a lot of health care problems in the States, and they are not as rare as you might think. The problem is that the doctor is not trained to respond to people with serious medical emergencies immediately. So when a patient with a stroke or a heart attack comes in, the doctor has to decide which one of two things is going to happen soon. The first option is to wait until the patient has recovered enough to be able to walk without assistance.
I think this option is the more likely. By the time a doctor can get a patient into the hospital, the person is already severely sick. There’s a very real possibility that the patient is going to die if the doctor doesn’t take immediate action. A doctor who doesn’t immediately take action may be very slow to help, and may not have what it takes to save the person, but it’s going to take a long time for the patient to recover from the stroke or heart attack.

The problem with urgent care is that people just don’t know what to do. As the patient gets worse, the caregivers are starting to worry that they are not doing enough. In the olden days, if a person was in a car accident, the first thing you would do is get a doctor to certify the patient as a priority. If you don’t have a doctor in your town or even in your town, the next thing you would do is call the local ambulance service.
