When it comes to urgent care, I think the only thing that matters is what you pay and how you choose to pay for it. If you are able to pay $200 for an urgent care visit, you’ll get what you pay for. The difference is it is a health care provider. They don’t take your money and expect you to pay for them. If you are able to pay $100 to see a doctor, the doctor will give you what you pay for.
After hearing that I had to ask, “why?” I thought that was pretty ridiculous. “Why” is a question that has already been asked and answered. The question is simply whether or not the person asking and answering it is on the same page.
You need to have a point of contact or a person who can refer you to a health care professional. You can call the local emergency number (911) and ask if there is any health care available in your area. You can go to your insurance provider’s website and get the most up-to-date information about health care options.
This is not just a question of getting information about health care available, but obtaining information that you are actually using.
It’s a matter of being proactive and being honest. You must be willing to get a referral from a friend, your health care provider, a friend of a friend, a family member, etc. If you don’t do this, then you’re just ignoring the opportunity and not being proactive about it.
We are currently in the midst of a national health care reform law fight and this will no doubt be one of the most important pieces of legislation in all of American history. The last thing we want is to have to wait for a law to pass that would make it harder for our community to get care. We want to keep everyone on the island as healthy as possible with the best care possible. We also need people to start getting the care that this law will require.
