To be a Travel Nurse, you must be a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree and be able to pass a background check. You will be working at a hospital, not your own home. We also offer a 2-year experience as a registered nurse.
There is no shortage of nursing jobs in the state, but in the past they’ve all been for the residents of nursing homes, and there is no shortage of those jobs either. We’re starting to hear that the new Massachusetts law requiring nurses to have two years of training could be an issue. It’s estimated that over 1,500 medical professionals in Massachusetts are not required to have a degree in nursing, and Massachusetts is the only state in the nation that doesn’t require a nursing license.
This is a good point. The reason is that the state legislature has proposed a bill, which would require all nurses in the state to have a two year bachelors degree in nursing. The reason is that these are the people that are most likely to be the first to need care for patients, and they will not be the ones that can afford the most expensive training. But these people are in fact the least likely to be the ones that will need to work long hours for minimum wage.
