As we all know, one of the biggest complaints about the Samsung Galaxy S watch is the fact that it is not water-resistant. What Samsung has done is included a “quick-release” cap on the side of the watch so that it doesn’t need to be cleaned after every use. This is great because it eliminates the need for us to come back to the same area to wash it.
I would like to see the same thing for the iPhone 5 as well, but sadly there is no such thing. The truth is that none of the phones have such a cap and all the phones have some sort of a water-resistant material attached to them. This means that you will have to come back to the same spot every time you use your phone. This is not ideal.
With the iPhone, you can actually leave it in a bucket in your washing machine for 24 hours and it will not get damaged. With the Samsung, you can have it put into the washing machine with the phone on it and it will not get damaged. This is brilliant and makes sense.
It’s not great, but it’s not terrible either, especially if you think about how you’d go about washing your phone. You simply take the case out of the washing machine, take the phone from the water, and put it on your phone to be ready to go again.
I think this is probably the least-appealing way to wash your phone, but if you’re doing it for your phone that’s fine. The Samsung’s new case is only available on the Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 and S7.
