Every day I go to the gym and I’m always trying to improve my speed and explosiveness. I’m a long-distance runner, but I also go running every day. So I’ve been doing a lot of research on speed (and I’m sure I’m not alone) and I can’t get enough of it.
nsmc salem is an indoor running track and outdoor speed challenge. The course is a flat, 2.4 mile loop. Halfway through it, I’m supposed to run a certain number of laps. If I take off, I lose a lap, and if I stay in, I get a bonus lap. The course is broken up into three loops of 20 laps each.
The track is a bit gimmicky, and it only lets you run for 20 laps in each loop, but I have never felt so good. My time was 3:09:23 which was a bit faster than I normally can run, but I felt strong. I finished in 9 minutes and 37 seconds. I was the fastest I’ve ever been.
For me, finishing was a bit of a strange feeling. I had no idea how I was supposed to do it. I was just kind of running, and it was working out great. I did know that Im one of those guys who could not finish fast, so I knew I had to go really slow. I was in the middle of the pack, but it was still fun to see how far I could push myself.
I was really surprised to see how much I did. The first few kilometers I tried to go as slow as possible, but I was able to get through the last few kilometers pretty quickly. I had to keep a slow pace through the last half because I knew by that point that I was going to have to slow down. I really had no idea how I was supposed to do this. It was really cool to see how far I could push myself.
