I’m sure there are exceptions, but there are a lot of surgeons who are in the 100,000 to 120,000 per year range, and we can all agree that they make some decent money.
I’d like to point out that some pediatric surgeons, like some pediatric surgeons, make less than half of this. Of the 250,000 pediatric surgeons listed in the Census Bureau’s list of the top 250 earners in the United States, some are making $20,000 or less. The pediatric surgeons listed that were making $25,000 or more, like Dr. David Tarsitano, were making a salary of $65,000 or more.
I’m not sure if this is a sign that surgeons are getting more sophisticated or it just reflects how wealthy some of them are.

Ive heard of a pediatric surgeon making $180,000 a year, and some people have said they make up to $200,000 a year. One would think that being a pediatric surgeon would mean spending a lot of money.
