I am on the short side and have had a lot of allergist appointments, so I know how important it is to have a good doctor. I have had a few allergist appointments and as of yet I have not had a bad one, but I am still working on it. While I think that doctors should be paid more, my thoughts about what’s fair for both allergists and patients have caused me to have a bit of a dilemma.
The salary of a good allergist is pretty great. I know that a lot of allergists have a lot of experience and a ton of patients with allergies, but I have found that it’s more difficult to get a good doctor who is also a good patient. That being said, I do think that a lot of allergists should be compensated more for their time than a lot of doctors.
The average doctor receives $40,000 a year, so if a doctor isn’t doing any of the things that make a good doctor a good doctor, then that means he’s not doing his job as a doctor. The other thing that gets me is the fact that the average allergist is a man, and the fact that a lot of doctors are men, including allergists. To me, this implies that a majority of allergy doctors are women, and thus less competent than their male counterparts.
That’s true, but to be sure, consider that the average American has two doctors, and that a lot of allergy doctors are men. The average allergist also receives less money than a lot of doctors.
Sure, there are some allergists who work in large cities. But the average allergist will be paid by insurance companies. And the average allergist is a man, not a woman.
Most of the allergy doctors we see are men. Why is that? There are many reasons, but the only one we can think of is that men are better at diagnosing allergies because they have to spend more time doing it. Men are also more likely to be able to afford more expensive treatments, like steroids. Throwing money at allergies doesn’t necessarily equal better results.
That’s definitely true. The reason is that men are more likely to spend more money than women, and so they tend to get better results. The problem is that when you treat your allergies with steroids, you are essentially treating your allergies. With a male allergy doctor, you’re spending money on something that affects men. So if you’ve got men in your household, you’re going to be spending a ton of money on them.
In a new study, the majority of allergists (and other doctors) in North America earn $45,000 a year. Thats very high, but it also means that they are only earning $10,000 per year. So this means that they make a very small amount of money and are only able to pay their own medical bills and provide service for the rest of their clients.
The study isn’t the only one to figure out that doctors aren’t making a really good living, but it does seem to do the best job of explaining why this study is wrong. What people seem to be forgetting is that a large percentage of doctors in the US are actually freelancers, meaning their income is earned on commissions from their patients. So while they are making a good deal of money for themselves and their patients, they are not really making a lot of money for their clients.
Doctors, as a group, tend to earn less than average, but when you look at the average medical specialist in the US you can see that they make more than this. The study I linked to above does a really good job of pointing out how medical specialists seem to be earning less than average, so this study is a bit of a red flag.
