I’ve been using the AirPod for over a year as a replacement for my old, non-portable battery-powered AirPods. It’s been a lifesaver, but I’ve also found myself using it with my other devices — like my iPhone.
Air pods are like a battery pack, except they don’t need to be plugged in. All you need to do is use your iPhone to charge them, and they will last for months without ever needing a charge. Now if you have a iPhone, that’s not really a problem, but most people don’t. For me, the problem is when I’m trying to use my AirPod while I’m charging my phone.
I have no idea what this has to do with my iPhone, but it seems like a common problem. I can’t believe I’m saying that it is actually a problem. I have a iPhone on my desk at work, and when I’m using it for work, I don’t want to have to turn it on every time I run out to the car to use it. I can just plug my Airpod in and charge it at the office while I’m there.
Apple has a problem with this, and I’m not sure why. The iPhone has been designed to be used while your phone is charging, so that means that the Airpod needs to be plugged in at the same time. That way, if your iPhone is charging and you want to use it, you can. If you don’t, you can’t.

The Airpod is a great product and the Airpod is great. I guess my biggest complaint is that it doesn’t come with a charging cable. You might as well just buy a charging cable and just plug your Airpod in.
