In our effort to promote our website, we have been asked to share a few of our favorite self-awareness hacks. Some of these hacks came about by trial and error, while others were developed or inspired by an article you may have read. I hope that you find them useful.
We’ll take these hacks for granted with a few simple things. In the future, we’ll be adding a few more, but the first thing that we’ll do is to upload the new image to our website.
Okay, so there’s a lot of things you already know. But what about these other things? Well, here’s the first one.
The first self-awareness hack is to stop using the word “self” when talking about yourself. When people ask you what you do, the first response is usually “I work for the government, or I’m a freelance journalist,” or “I’m a graphic designer at a certain company.
We must be honest. It’s the first thing that I do, every time I call my wife. I get this: “I work for the government.” But my wife says, “I don’t work for the government.” So she just says, “Well, I’ve been through a lot of shit. Let me know what you think in the comments.” And then you write it down.
That is the truth of it. I hate it when people keep everything secret from me, but it’s better than being the only one in the world who doesn’t know what I do all the time.
We at The Dissociative Minds like to focus on topics that are “fun” for us. We try to avoid topics that are heavy or serious, but sometimes we get lucky. Sometimes we get one of those pieces of content that makes you think, “Man, what was that?” We want to discuss all things that you find to be fun. If you have some questions or concerns about the site, please don’t hesitate to ask us.
We at The Dissociative Minds are always looking for people who want to share their work with us. So if you would like to submit a piece of work or you have some questions about the site, please contact us at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you.
The Dissociative Minds is the place to share anything you’re doing as a writer. So if you want to share something with us, the best way to do that is to email us at supportthe-dissociative-minds.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
