Yes, oncology nurses are really good at everything, but that doesn\u2019t mean they should do everything. They are paid to do so much, and they need to have a balance. As long as you can do something fun, you should be able to afford to take naps, go to concerts, and go to the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I like to think of myself as a nurse with a sense of fun. However, I am also a nurse who is on call 24\/7. While I wouldn\u2019t say I am on call all the time, I am always available if you need me. Because my family has a home health nurse and a nurse in the ER, I still get the opportunity to do many different things on call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If youre like me, then you probably have some sort of oncology nurse travel job. Oncology nurses are often asked to help with oncology patients or those in critical care because of their advanced skills and experience with the illnesses. They also like to travel for fun, so if you have a doctorate in oncology, you may be able to find a job in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you want to talk to a nurse who has experience working in oncology, I recommend talking to a nurse who has a nurse in the ER. This can be a great way to network and build up your resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is also a sub-specialty called oncology nurse midwifery in the US, and this is one area that may be very interesting to you. In fact, if you are interested in this field, I would definitely say talk to your doctor about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are interested in a career in oncology, you should know that the number of nurses in the US has been steadily declining for the last five decades. According to the American Nurses Association, the average number of nurses in the US has been reduced from about 1,500 in 1976 to 900 today. That means that, in the past five years alone, the number of nurses in the US has dropped by at least 40 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a huge problem in the US, because you do not have enough nurses to take care of all the people coming in for treatment or the cancer patients. The American Nurses Association estimates that just about a third of all cancer patients are getting enough treatment.
