This is a blog post about a trip to New York City I took to practice my job as a nurse. I was there to work as a community health care worker, which means I work to help people in need, especially the elderly. The nursing jobs are often hard, as they require a lot of paperwork, so I thought I\u2019d try a different route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I first started nursing in the mid-1980s, the only thing I knew I wanted to work on was the front lines of the emergency room. I had a really good idea that if I was going to make a difference, I needed to be able to work in a hospital. I knew that if I could be a good nurse, people would help me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why I enrolled in an RN program at the University of Washington a few years back. They hired me out to go work on the ER. I was also going to be a research assistant for the same year. It\u2019s been a good, interesting, and at times a stressful seven years. I\u2019ve moved around a lot, had a few pregnancies, and a few heart attacks that I have had to take the time to survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing Ive learnt about traveling I don’t like, at least with my health: when you’re sick, you don’t want to be the person who is sick. I remember being sick with a virus in Thailand a few years ago. I literally couldn’t walk for a week. I had to call an ambulance and it took hours before I could call my parents. I had to get up and walk around. It was very scary for me and I was very tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is exactly what happened to me a few years ago. I was sick with a virus and I couldnt walk for about 3 weeks because of the pain and I had to get up and walk around. I had a few heart attacks and I was only able to walk a couple of miles at a time, it was very scary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As it turns out, a lot of the things that we do as humans are actually automatic. For example, the things that we do (or might do) every day are so automatic that we don’t even notice it. Like when we move, we don’t even notice we’re doing it until we’re completely asleep. This is why when you play a video game, you don’t even realize you’re playing it when you’re playing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are in a world that has you walking everywhere, you\u2019re probably going to be bored. I am not a nurse, but I am a nurse. And you are probably going to like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am a nurse. And you should go on a vacation to a place that you wouldnt normally go to, but because you did not have any other plans, you decided to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I dont know if this was true on real life, but I have found that it is true on games. You always have the urge to go somewhere you dont usually go, and when you do, it feels like it isnt real. I cant remember the last time I was bored, but I think it has been a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So you’re telling me you like going on a vacation without knowing what youre doing or why youre going. You think it is worth going on a vacation to a country that isnt even on the map. I can’t say I’m surprised by your response, but it sounds like a game you have some real life experience with. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
