The History of why does my iphone take so long to charge

Because I am a moron.

I have an iPhone 4, which in theory should charge about as fast as a new car or a new laptop, but apparently I’m on a different planet than other iPhone users. First of all, let’s see what is going on here: If you’re using a phone with a lightning connector (a.k.a. the iPhone 4 Lightning) you can plug in your phone to any wall outlet and it should charge pretty quickly.

In normal usage the iPhone 4 uses a USB cable to charge. But because youre on a different planet, Im supposed to charge at a different rate which Im finding surprising. Also, iPhone users are not wired up like the regular world. If youre on one end of the wiring, and your iPhone is on the other end, the iPhone needs to be wired in such a way that it can charge at the normal rate.

I guess I can’t blame the iPhone 4 for its slow charge time. I had the same problem with my iPhone 3g. But I’m also finding out that it’s not just the USB port on the iPhone that takes so long to charge. The charger has to go through a lot of weird circuitry to make the iPhone 4 charge. It’s kind of like when you plug an iPod into your car and the iPod doesn’t turn on.

Apparently the iPhone 4 comes with a new, faster MicroUSB connector, but the older connector is still available. It should be apparent that the iPhone 4 has to go through a lot of weird circuitry to charge. It’s like when you plug an iPod into your car and the iPod doesnt turn on.

That makes sense. It takes a while for the iPhone 4 charger to charge the battery, but it doesn’t have to. The iPhone 4 is simply a better micro-USB charger. In addition, the iPhone 4 is actually much faster. Apple’s improved CPU and improved GPU help it process the charge more quickly than the older iPhone.

The only problem is that the iPhone 4 does not have the same high-tech charging circuitry as the iPhone 3GS. The iPhone 4 actually takes longer to charge, but it may be due to the fact that the 3GS features an improved high-speed USB connection.

There are a ton of ways to speed up charging your iPhone 4. A really good one is using a USB cable that is as long as the phone, so you don’t have to go anywhere near the charger just to charge. Apple also offers a USB charger that is rated for both the 3GS and iPhone 4.

I don’t need to speed up my iPhone 4 to charge. I just want to take it to the gym or to the store so I can get it home. I have a nice USB cable that is longer than the phone, so I could just plug it into my laptop and charge it there. But I don’t want to do that. I want my iPhone 4 to charge, not just as fast as it can but faster than what it charges on its own.

The iPhone 4 (and all Apple products) is advertised as being able to charge up to 40% faster than the iPhone 3GS, but this is not true. It turns out that Apple engineers have decided that the reason that iPhone 4 is able to charge so fast is because the iPhone 4 and 3GS both use the same USB 2.0 standard. Apple’s official statement on this is that the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS both use the same USB 2.0 standard.

Wow! I can't believe we finally got to meet in person. You probably remember me from class or an event, and that's why this profile is so interesting - it traces my journey from student-athlete at the University of California Davis into a successful entrepreneur with multiple ventures under her belt by age 25
