I think pound coins are pretty useless for a number of reasons, including the fact that they are made of metal and have a specific weight. The point is that you should keep your coins away from your purse or briefcase, and keep them far away from your computer. The key word here is ‘far away’. A couple of days ago I was playing Minecraft and it gave me a moment of pause when I realized that I had a stack of coins lying next to me. I tried to put it back in my pocket but it was heavy and I couldn’t find the keys underneath it.
This is similar to what happens when you leave your wallet in a public place. You have a moment of self-awareness, but before you can do anything about it you’re left with the realization that you’ve made a mistake. You feel like your wallet is a bit of a liability. The fact is that if you’re not careful, you can end up with hundreds of pounds of cash and potentially hundreds of pounds of credit cards in your wallet.
